Personal Data Protection Day 2014
Competition for children and youth
“My Privacy! Don’t look, don’t poke about!”
8th Edition

Once posted online we lose control over our information. We will never be certain what would happen with it. What do kids and youth as regular Internet users think about this matter? Imagine someone publishes your personal data (for instance name, birth number, home address, state of health, or even genetic or biometric data). What could happen? Kids are invited to write a story, essay, screen play. They even can record their story on video as a play or present it as cartoon.

We have an alternative for those who prefer drawing and painting. They can design a badge thematically related to personal data and privacy protection to be worn by teenagers on their backpacks. Attention! The size and concept of the proposal should correspond with the diameter of the badge which usually is 6 cm.

Youngsters up to 18 years of age are encouraged to send their creations (please don´t forget to mention your name, address and age*) by 15 April 2014 either electronically to (maximum file size 3 MB) or by ordinary post to Office for Personal Data Protection, Press Department, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7 (please mark the envelope by the word “Privacy“).

Authors of the best proposal will be invited to Prague to award ceremony. An interesting program will be waiting for the winners.

* Address will be used for competition purposes only, name and age will if need be used for promotion of data protection unless we don´t receive your explicit wish not to publish the submitted proposal for promotional purposes.
